We teach students of all ages — from young beginners (typically age 4 and up, depending on the instrument) all the way through adults. It's never too early or too late to start learning music. We'll match you with a teacher who specializes in your age group and experience level.
We offer lessons in piano, guitar, voice, violin, cello, viola, drums and percussion, bass guitar, flute, clarinet, trumpet, and more. If you don't see your instrument listed, reach out — we likely have a teacher for it, or we'll find one for you.
Yes! We offer in-studio lessons, in-home lessons where the teacher comes to you, virtual lessons over video call, and group lessons. When you fill out the inquiry form, just let us know your preference and we'll match you with a teacher who offers that format.
Lesson rates vary by teacher, instrument, and lesson format. Each teacher on our platform sets their own rates. When we match you with a teacher, we'll share their rates upfront so you always know exactly what to expect before you commit to anything.
Life happens — we get it. Cancellation and rescheduling policies are set by each individual teacher and will be communicated clearly when you're matched. Generally, we ask for 24 hours notice for cancellations so we can keep things running smoothly for everyone.

Nick is the founder of Born to Play Music and has been teaching music since 2020. What started as a personal studio quickly grew into something much bigger — driven entirely by a passion for helping students find and fall in love with music.
